清澜⼭学校是⼀所拥有认证的国际学校，课程标准对标美国课程体系，对各年级学⽣的综合学术要求与美国同年级⼀致。
在此基础上，不同学段的教育目标根据学⽣的年龄段、学术能⼒和发展特点⽽各有侧重：初中阶段根据《中国⼈民共和国义务教育法》等法律法规的规定夯实学⽣各学科的学业基础，特别值得⼀提的是清澜⼭的语⽂教学要求和难度都不低于公立学校。
我校进步的双语沉浸式学术环境贯穿初中全部年级。
初中部也⼀直鼓励学⽣积极参加课外活动。

8 THEACADEMICYEAR TheacademicyearatTsinglanisdividedintotwosemesters,andeachsemesterisfurtherdividedintotwoquarters.Progresswithineachcontentareaisevaluatedbyteachersregularlythroughbothformativeandsummativeassessments.Writtenreportsmentsareprovidedtostudentsandparentsatthemid-pointofeachsemester.Severalstandardizedtestsarealsoimplementedforexternalbenchmarking,suchastheMAPGrowthTestandTOEFLJuniorintheMiddleSchool. THESIX-DAYCYCLE TheacademicweekatTsinglanoperatesonasix-weekdaycycleinordertoallowmorediverseandbalancedcourseofferings.Allcoreclasses,includingacademicclassesandmust-chooseelectives,rotatethroughthissix-dayacademicweek.Electiveclassesafterschoolhoursandonweekendsstillabidebythefivedaynaturalweekcalendar. 学年 清澜⼭学校的每个学年分为两个学期，每个学期再分为两个半学期。
老师通过过程性和阶段性的评价⽅式定期对学⽣的学业情况进⾏测评，并于每学期期中出具正式的书面评语和报告。
学校也利用多种标准化考试定期进⾏测评，比如中学部的MAP和小托福测试。
六日学周 为了使课程设置更多元、更均衡，清澜⼭学校的学周采用六个⼯作日为⼀个循环周期。
所有必修课，包括学术课程和必选课程，都以六日学周为基础设立课表。
然⽽，课余时间和周末的选修课程的课表与此不同，采用的仍然是五个⼯作日为⼀个循环周期的自然周。

Domesticstudytripstakeplaceduringcalendardaysandshortschoolbreaks.Internationalstudytripsareopentointerestedstudentsduringthewinterandsummerholidays,andmayrequireadditionalselectionsandfees. 研学课程 “千里之⾏，始于⾜下”、“不积跬步，⽆以⾄千里”——研学课程是以⾏⾛的⽅式展开的学习。
清澜⼭研学课程是学校特⾊课程之⼀，每⼀条研学线路都由清澜⼭教师团队针对各年龄段的学⽣量身定制并亲自带队，每⼀条研学线路都具有强烈的课程意识、富有创意的课程设计、和体贴的后勤保障。
研学课程以其独特的自主性、实践性、开放性、和⽣成性的特点，带领学⽣和老师跳出固有思维，⾛⼊自然和社会，进⼊新的学习模式之中，让学习在环境熏染、探究体验、动⼿实践、和⾏⾛旅途中自然⽽然地发⽣。
中学部⾼年级的学⽣在研学的基础上更进⼀步进⾏长期的定点支教活动，将研学学习与志愿服务结合在⼀起。
国内研学⼀般安排在校历日或较短的学校假期进⾏，国外研学则针对少数有兴趣的学⽣⼀般利用寒暑假时间进⾏，部分研学需要选拔与额外付费。

HOMEROOM:HomeroomsareTsinglan’scoreunitsofstudentcaremunitybuilding.Therelationshipcultivatedwiththehomeroomteacherprovidesanopportunityforstudentstodevelopastrongrelationshipwithanadultmentor.Thehomeroomtimeisdedicatedforstudentsineachhomeroomtogettoknowandsupporteachotherinmeaningfulways,andforhomeroomteacherstogettoknoweachstudentwellinordertopersonalizetheeducationalplanandexperiencethatcorrespondstoeachchild’suniquecharacteristicsandneeds.SEL-themedactivitiesarepartofMiddleSchoolhomeroom,whichpreparesstudentsforUpperSchoolwithconfidenceandpreparedness. 社交与情感成长主题课程和活动 校会：中学部每学周召开⼀次校会。
校会包含⼀些每周都相同的模块，也包括⼀些每周不同的模块，比如学⽣表演、嘉宾演讲、音乐演出、对国际事件的纪念、主题周的开幕式、颁奖仪式和其他的有创意的活动。
有时中学部会和其他学部⼀起利用校会时间参与全校⼤会。
班会：班级和班会时间是清澜⼭学⽣关爱和集体建设的核⼼组成部分。
与班主任建立良好的师⽣关系是学⽣学会与成⼈建立牢固联结的宝贵机会。
班会时间既是为了让⼀个班集体的学⽣能够互相了解、互相支持，也是为了帮助班主任全面地了解每个学⽣，从⽽针对学⽣不同的个性和需求制定有意义的教育和体验计划。
SEL社交情感主题活动也会贯彻在中学部的班会时间里，帮助学⽣有自信、有准备地迎接⾼中⽣活。
14 SECONDLANGUAGEACQUISITION StudentstransferringtoTsinglanSchoolmayinitiallyexperiencedifficultyandfrustrationsinadaptingtoourEnglishcurricula.Thisistobeexpectedandshouldnotcausealarmtoanystudentorparent.Instead,studentsandparentsshouldcollaboratewiththeschoolinprovidingasupportiveenvironmentforthestudentstoacquiretheirsecondfortably,confidently,andatareasonablespeed.Researchshowsthatsecondlanguageacquisitionrequiresonaverage3-5yearsofconsistentexposureandpracticeinthetargetlanguage,anditiscriticalthatstudentsarenotrushedduringthisprocess.TsinglanSchoolisequippedwithtrainedlanguageeducatorswhounderstandssecondlanguageacquisitiontheoriesandstrategiesduringregularinstructionalhours,andprovidesstudentswiththenecessaryadditionalsupportandtutorialclasseswhenneeded. Mostimportantly,ourteachersholdallstudentstothesamehighacademicstandardsanddeliverthesameacademiccontenttoallstudentsregardlessofthelanguageproficiencylevelofanystudent.Webelievethatastudent'scognitivecapabilityisnotlimitedbyhis/herlanguageproficiency,andallowstudentstousetheirhomelanguageforaperiodtimeinordertothinkathighlevelsinclasses. ThesameistrueforstudentswhoseChineseproficiencymaybeinitiallyunabletomeettheexpectationsofourChinesecurricula. WehavetrainedCSL(ChineseasaSecondLanguage)educatorsofferingpull-outCSLinstructionsduringschoolhoursandprovideadditionalCSLsupportforstudentsforwhomChineseisnottheirnativetongue. 二语习得 初⼊清澜⼭的学⽣在适应清澜⼭的英⽂教学⽅面可能会经历⼀个比较艰难和痛苦的时期。
这是完全可以理解的，也是经常发⽣的现象，学⽣和家长都不应为此过度焦虑。
相反地，学⽣和家长应该跟学校紧密配合，为学⽣⼆语习得提供支持，使得学⽣能够舒服、自信、适度地习得第⼆语⾔。
研究表明，⼆语习得通常需要学⽣连续接触和练习目标语⾔3-5年的时间⽅可实现，这个过程万万不可拔苗助长。
清澜⼭的语⾔教师具有丰富的⼆语习得的理论和实践知识并能将其运用在平时的课堂当中，也能够给需要的学⽣以额外的支持和辅导。
最重要的是，⽆论学⽣语⾔能⼒如何，我们的教师以同样的⾼标准要求所有的学⽣，并给所有的学⽣教授相同的学术内容。
我们深信⼀个学⽣的认知能⼒不受其语⾔能⼒的局限，⽽且允许学⽣在⼀段时间内用母语参与课堂，以保证他们能够进⾏⾼⽔平的思维。
同样的，如果⼀个学⽣初⼊清澜⼭学习时中⽂较弱，学校专业的对外汉语教师也能为汉语非母语的学⽣提供小班中⽂教学和额外中⽂辅导。
15 ACADEMICINTEGRITY TsinglanSchoolpromotescharacterandhighethicalstandards.Weexpectallstudentstocreateworkthatisentirelyhis/herown.Asweunderstandthatsometimesastudentcheatsorplagiarizesnotbecauseofviciousintent,butratherbecauseofignoranceorpressure.Therefore,ourfacultywillteachthemthecorrectwaystociteinformationandlistbibliography,managestress,andmaybelenientwhenastudentviolatestheacademicintegrityforthefirsttimeoutofignorance.AstudentwhoviolatestheAcademicIntegrityPolicyintentionallyorrepeatedlyinanywayorform,however,issubjecttostrictproceduresandconsequences,notexcludingexpulsion. Examplesofacademicdishonesty: Cheating-
(1)Giveorreceiveinformationaboutatest/quizbefore,during,orafteratest/quiz.
(2)Usebooks,notes,translators,calculators,etc.duringatext/quizwithoutpermission.
(3)Allowone'sworktobecopiedbyanotherstudent.
(4)Copysomeoneelse'swork,includingworkthatisfoundonline.
(5)Havesomeoneelse(includingparentortutor)pleteassignmentforyou. Plagiarism-
(1)Copyanotherperson'swritingandsubmititasyourown.
(2)Copyextensively-morethanthreelines-withoutquotationmarks.
(3)Paraphrasingextensivelywithoutpropercitationorattribution.
(4)Translateanotherperson'sworkandsubmititasyourown. DuplicateWork-
(1)Submitthesame,ormostlysimilar,workforcredittodifferentclasses. Ifastudentneedsextratimebeyondaskinghis/herteacherforhelpduringofficehours,he/shemayworkwithatutor.ThetutormustabidebythesameAcademicHonestyPolicyoutlinedabove.Toavoidconflictsofinterest,atutorforaTsinglanstudentmustnotsimultaneouslybeaTsinglanfacultyorstaff.TheonlyexceptiontothisruleisTsinglan’sowntutorialclassesofferedduringelectivetimes,suchasEnglishandmathtutorials.Forfairnessconsiderations,outsidetutorsmaynotworkwithstudentsoncampusunlessduringextraordinarycircumstancesandexplicitlyallowedbytheschooladministration. 16 学术诚信 清澜⼭学校坚信道德⾄上，要求全校师⽣坚守学术诚信。
学⽣们的作品将完全是他们自⼰的作品。
我们理解，有的时候学⽣作弊或剽窃并非恶意为之，⽽可能是出于⽆知或压⼒。
因此，我们的教师将教授学⽣们正确的引用他⼈想法和作品的⽅法、调节压⼒的⽅法，也可能会对头⼏次因为⽆知⽽作弊的学⽣予以包容。
但是，任何故意的、多次的违反学校学术诚信要求的⾏为都会受到严肃和严厉的惩罚，包括勒令退学。
学术欺骗⾏为举例： 作弊
(1)考试或测验之前、之中、或之后传递或收受关于考试的信息。
(2)未经允许在考试或测验过程中使用书本、笔记、翻译器、计算器等。
(3)任由他⼈抄袭自⼰的作业。
(4)抄袭他⼈的作业，包括抄袭⽹络上的内容。
(5)请他⼈（包括家长和家教）代做作业。
剽窃
(1)抄袭他⼈的⽂章并当成自⼰的作业上交。
(2)⼤量抄袭他⼈语⾔——超过三⾏——且不用引号。
(3)⼤量改写他⼈⽂章，且不标明原⽂的出处。
(4)翻译他⼈的⽂章并当成自⼰的作业上交。
⼀稿两投
(1)用内容完全或⼤体相同的⽂章或作业同时作为两门课的作业提交。
如果学⽣在寻求自⼰老师办公时间的帮助之外还需要额外的辅导老师，他/她可以自⼰聘用家教。
家教需要和学⽣⼀同遵守学校的学术诚信要求。
为了避免利益的冲突，清澜⼭的学⽣不可聘用清澜⼭老师做家教。
这条规定的唯⼀例外是清澜⼭利用选修课时间自⼰安排的辅导课程，比如英⽂辅导、数学辅导等。
为了公平起见，外聘家教不可在校园内辅导学⽣，除非情况极其特殊且校领导明确允许。
17 HOMEWORK TsinglanSchoolaimstoprovideaholisticeducation,andthuswehopetobalancethetimestudentsspendonhomeworkandthetimetheyspendpursuingotherinterestsandhobbies.Whilewerealizetheimportanceandnecessityofstudentsengaginginsomeacademicworkathome,wealsobelievestronglythatthemostimportantworkisdoneatschool.Therefore,wemendthefollowingguidelinesontheeptablehomeworktimesinanefforttorespectandprotectstudents'individualandfamilytimebeyondschoolhours. GuidelinesOnTimeToBeSpentDoingHomework: *Thetimespentworkingoneachsubjectwillvarydependingonthenatureoftheassignmentandthenumberofclassperiodsperweekallottedtothesubject. *Thelengthoftimespentdoinghomeworkwillincreasewitheachyearinschool.Thefollowingareguidelinesrelatingtothelengthoftimewhichshouldbespentonhomeworkeveryschoolday: oGrades6-7:Onaveragedailyhomeworkshouldbeapproximately1.5hours(approximately15-20minutesperacademicsubject) oGrade8:Onaveragedailyhomeworkshouldbeapproximately2hours(approximately20-25minutesperacademicsubject) *Thetimeestimateisforaveragestudents.Individualstudentspletehomeworkinlessormoretime.Parentsshouldinformtheteacherwhenastudentconsistentlyspendsagreatdeallessormoretimedoingdailyhomework. 研究表明，⼆语习得通常需要学⽣连续接触和练习目标语⾔3-5年的时间⽅可实现，这个过程万万不可拔苗助长。
清澜⼭的语⾔教师具有丰富的⼆语习得的理论和实践知识并能将其运用在平时的课堂当中，也能够给需要的学⽣以额外的支持和辅导。
最重要的是，⽆论学⽣语⾔能⼒如何，我们的教师以同样的⾼标准要求所有的学⽣，并给所有的学⽣教授相同的学术内容。
我们深信⼀个学⽣的认知能⼒不受其语⾔能⼒的局限，⽽且允许学⽣在⼀段时间内用母语参与课堂，以保证他们能够进⾏⾼⽔平的思维。

因此，我们推荐每日作业时长不超过下面的参考意见，以尊重和保护学⽣们放学后的个⼈时间和家庭时间。
家庭作业时长参考： *每个科目的特点和每周的课时安排决定家庭作业的时间分配。
*完成家庭作业耗时随着学年的增加⽽延长，以下是不同年级的学⽣在完成家庭作业的建议时长： o6-7年级，建议每日家庭作业平均耗时约为90分钟（每门主科耗时约15-20分钟） o8年级，建议每日家庭作业平均耗时约为120分钟（每门主科耗时约20-25分钟） *该时间为平均用时，不同学⽣完成家庭作业用时视个体情况⽽异。

教师有时会把成绩报告给家长，也可以定期通过电话、电⼦邮件或家长会向家长汇报学⽣情况。
MAP考试有其单独的报告单。
学⽣和家长也可定期在校宝（钉钉）上查看他们的课堂表现记录。
每学年学⽣的学业进度成绩报告单会分四次定期发给家长。
学⽣的年终成绩不会以某次报告单的成绩为准，但这些报告单成绩会映射出学⽣到学年末的学习情况。
每学年的平均成绩将会被记录到永久性学⽣报告上。
家长在每学期的中间有机会与教师⼀对⼀见面，就学⽣的学习进展与任课教师沟通和讨论。
我们强烈鼓励家长们利用每学年校历中规定的这两次家长会时间与教师当面并直接沟通。
